Could not for the life of you tell you why Matilda felt like the right picture this week, but here we are.

My brain is a barren wasteland, and my body is slowly starting to resemble a turnip. I spend my days writing 5,000 words so I can hit my deadline at the end of the month for my second novel, and every time I need a break, I walk to the bakery and pick a new cake. I need lots of breaks. You can see the pattern I’m in.

So, since my brain has turned to mush, and you deserve better than the watery pulp of my thoughts, please find below a short but comprehensive list of reminders for some things we should always know, but often forget:
